Research Model

The Energy Research Council creates a two-way, facts-based dialogue between energy suppliers (Charter Sponsors) and the middle-market companies they serve. Through quarterly surveys, the program profiles the opinions, practices, and trends that characterize energy management. These research findings provide high-quality market intelligence for program Sponsors and create the opportunity to educate middle market companies with a realistic profile of market practices and trends.

Data is gathered from (1) companies that represent a particular (Sponsor-defined) target market and (2) panelists who reflect a set of Sponsor-driven profile characteristics. This ensures that ERC surveys not only deliver exceptional response rates, but also are based on qualified respondents who have the authority and knowledge to answer questions accurately.
